100 Thieves have announced their re-entry into CS:GO scene with the acquisition of the former Renegades roster! 100 Thieves is a popular NA organisation created by former OpTic Gaming Call of Duty player, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag.
The North American organisation is no stranger to the CS:GO scene. In late 2017, the organisation picked the ex-Immortals squad, a group of Brazilians that finished 2nd at the PGL Major Kraków 2017. However, due to multiple setbacks and controversies, the Brazilian squad parted ways with the organization just over a month later without having played a single official match.
In addition, “Nadeshot” had revealed back in July that his organisation was looking to return to CS:GO “in full force”. This new roster will make their first impression for 100 Thieves at IEM Beijing, starting on November 7th.
The former Renegades roster has finished Top 8 at the last two CS:GO majors and are currently ranked 7th in the HLTV World rankings. It will be very fascinating to see how this roster will adapt to having to play for such a famous organisation. Will they follow in the footsteps of the successful new Evil Geniuses squad? We will have to wait and see.
