During the Xbox Games Showcase, Halo Infinite debuted its gameplay reveal. However, it was met with negative reception, most notably about its graphical qualities.
While Microsoft has made a response to the feedback, Halo Infinite was ultimately delayed in order to address the complaints about the game. Now, 343 has announced that they will be releasing Halo Infinite monthly updates until its release in Fall 2021.
In a comment made by ske7ch343, an employee of 343 Industries, responded to a Reddit post about the worrying lack of information, stating that the last update was on December 8th and that there was the Christmas holiday to consider. Ske7ch343 then went to say that they have plans for monthly “high level” updates, with one coming this week.
We also confirmed our Fall release window in that update, so now it’s clear we have some runway ahead of us and some time to go. That said, we’re committed to at least monthly high level updates and the next “Inside Infinite” is coming out this week! This month we’re talking with members of the sandbox team to share some insights into their vision for Halo Infinite and the work they’re doing. To manage expectations, this won’t have world premier big screenshots or huge things like a date announce, but our goal is to offer our community more context and insights into our team and the game we’re making while we’re all awaiting the larger beats and full marketing machine later this year.ske7ch343
Fans concerned about the state of the game should at least have some of their worries alleviated knowing that there will be Halo Infinite monthly updates going forward, and they can have something to look forward to each month until its release.
