All the Teams Qualified for VCT Masters: Stage 1 North America

Updated:
VCT Masters

As Challengers 3 comes to an end, we have finally gathered all the eight North American teams that have qualified for the first VCT Masters 1 event of Riot’s official 2021 circuit.

While the first stage is going to be played through region-locked tournaments, the second tournament of the VCT circuit is set to take place in Reykjavík, Iceland and to be fully played in a LAN setting.

If this event comes to fruition, Stage 2 will finally break the region-locked nature of the circuit and attribute determined spots for certain regions.

Nevertheless, good results on VCT Masters 1 will be critical for the success of these teams at future events. Top placings will reward them with points and put them one step closer to the prestigious Champions stage that will determine the best VALORANT team in the World.

Teams Qualified for Masters 1: North America

  • Team Envy
  • Sentinels
  • Immortals
  • XSET
  • Luminosity Gaming
  • FaZe Clan
  • 100 Thieves
  • Gen.G

Sentinels, Team Envy, XSET and Immortals were the first to qualify, as the final four of Challengers 2. Team Envy took the crown at that tournament, after a 3-0 rundown over Sentinels at the Grand Final.

FaZe Clan, who dropped earlier at Challengers 2, managed to bounce back for this last chance qualifier, with wins over T1 and NRG Esports landing them a spot in the Upper Bracket final where they will meet Luminosity, who is yet to drop a map at this event.

Gen.G and 100 Thieves managed to qualify through the lower bracket, with Gen.G triumphing over NRG Esports with a solid 2-0. 100 Thieves, that just recently replaced Quan ‘dicey’ Tran with former Evil Geniuses CS:GO player Ethan ‘Ethan’ Arnold, dashed through TSM with a quick 2-0 upset.
