Animal Crossing: New Horizons Roof Colours

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can customise the look of your home, with one customisation option being roof colour. Luckily, we have all the roof colours in the game covered for you.

There are a total of eight different colours that players can choose from when they customise their roof. These choices help set you apart from the other homes and give you that added dash of colour!

At first, you will only be able to change your roof colour every time you successfully pay off a loan and choose to upgrade your house again.

During this conversation with Tom Nook, he will ask you what colour you’d like your roof to be. Simply select the colour from the options that appear.

When your house upgrade is then complete, when you load up the game the next day, you’ll find that your roof colour has changed.

After you have completed a few upgrades for Tom Nook, you’ll then unlock the option to change roof colour whenever you want. Specifically, you’ll need to build your house and then get the next three upgrades. This means your house needs to have two additional rooms, and you’ve just paid off a huge 548,000 Bells debt!

Now you can go and speak to Nook in the Town Hall and choose the option ‘About my home…’. Next, select “I want to customise.” This does cost 5,000 Bells each time you change it, and the colour change will only take effect the next day.

Changing your roof colour is as simple as that! You could even change it regularly to spice up your island!
