The latest games sales chart has been released, courtesy of GFK, with Animal Crossing taking the top spot once again. It is interesting that we have seen certain games in there week in and week out despite being games you might not assume would be best selling. Let’s take a look:
| – | ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS | NINTENDO | 1 |
| MARIO KART 8 DELUXE | NINTENDO | 5
| – | CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE | ACTIVISION | 3 |
| GRAND THEFT AUTO V | ROCKSTAR | 2
| FIFA 20 | EA SPORTS | 4 | |
| MANEATER | DEEP SILVER | –
| SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD – REMASTERED | DEEP SILVER | –
| MINECRAFT | NINTENDO | 11
| STAR WARS JEDI: FALLEN ORDER | EA GAMES | 6
| LUIGI’S MANSION 3 | NINTENDO | 7 |
Animal Crossing: New Horizons takes the top spot once again, continuing its dominance throughout this period of lockdown. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still proving popular, likely due to the increased Nintendo Switch console sales during lockdown. It is a great family game, so that would make sense. There are 2 new entries from Deep Silver this week: the open-world action RPG Maneater and Saints Row: The Third – Remastered. Two games I am surprised to see hang on are Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Luigi’s Mansion 3. Luigi’s Mansion 3 isn’t a new game but continues to cling onto the charts week after week, and I am also surprised to see Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order not dropping off yet.
