New changes are set to hit Apex Legends, with the new update dropping early February, with the luanch of Apex Legend season 8, we await in awe for the new map changes to Kings Canon and the new legend. Lets dive into the changes!
New Legend: Fuse
He hails from a new planet that was just recently discovered, Salvo. With his rocky introduction we can conclude that his personality is explosive.
The ‘Master of Mayhem’ rightfully suits him as his introduction just gets underway when his ship ‘Maggie’ starts to malfunction and begins firing off lasers into the crowd of people, once blowing up the main brain of the operation another screen begins to light ‘Every show needs a big finish,’ and blows up the mountains.
His abilities, similarly to his name seem to deal with explosives, shooting bombs from his prosthetic arm, to an ability for him to drop a mortar bomb that burst into fire.
Map Changes: Kings Canyon
Not only is the new legend explosive, but so is the map with the release of Season 8. We don’t currently know the full extent of the damage done by Maggie, but we can tell its detrimental.
Multiple areas such as Artillery and Slum Lakes will be left in shambles from the explosions. Players are forced on the edge of their seats awaiting the reveal of the beloved zones.
New Gun: 30-30 Repeater
Another addition to Fuse we can see him using a new weapon in the games trailer; the 30-30 Repeater is a lever action rifle surly able match the heat Fuse creates.

Other Important Updates
A lot of characters are getting quality of life changes in Apex, most of them are revolving around hit boxes of champions to bring them on even grounds of their counterparts.
Legends like Wattson and Horizon are looking to get changes in their kit, to make them both more enjoyable to play but without buffing them directly.
A new item mag is being added; a legendary tier item that reloads your slotted guns.
A season 8 battle pass is also in the works, players alike are waiting to see what mystery items and skins will be unlocked through the pass.
Apex Legend Season 8 kicks on in less than a few days, we will see your squad as the Apex Champion.
