The Newest Apex Legend

The unstoppable thief Loba (soon to be the newest addition to the roster of Apex Legends) is not the only change that is coming to the game. We know that she is on a quest of revenge over the death of her family, but Loba is plotting another scheme: The quest for The Broken Ghost.

In the latest trailer for Season 5, players are seen entering a hatch, fighting off Prowlers and collecting Treasure Packs. There are currently no further details on the topic aside from the fact that Legends who complete the quest will be richly rewarded, according to a blog post by Respawn. As we can imagine, completing this quest will give players a chance to score some seriously sweet loot. This is similar to the vaults on World’s Edge, a concept that was introduced in Season 3.

Press ‘F’ for Skull Town

Along with all new seasons come new changes to the map, and Season 5 is no different. This time, gamers will find that one of the most beloved (or hated) areas, Skull Town, is no more. In the teaser cinematic, Loba breaks into a facility hosting bodies for Revenant, underneath Skull Town. Her failed assassination attempt of the Synthetic Nightmare ends in the destruction of the facility and the fall of the hottest zone in the Kings Canyon.

The bay formerly known as Skull Town is the newest addition to the original map. That is not the only change to the map, however. In the trailer, Kings Canyon has been unearthed, revealing more new areas for gamers to explore. One area specifically appears to generate Gibraltar’s ultimate after a few seconds of charging.

The Battle Pass

Of course, along with every new season is a new Battle Pass. The trailer did not give a great look into the rewards up for grabs, but what we did see was a manly beard for Mirage, a new hairdo for Bangalore and an Egyptian look for Revenant. Respawn has made great strides to improve their Battle Pass items since the disaster of the Season 1 pass. Hopefully, this will continue to build on their past developments. Apex Legends Season 5, Fortune’s Favor, is set for release May 15th.
