Having announced that he would be stepping down from the roster earlier this month, Vitality has announced this Thursday the return of Dan ‘Apex’ Madesclaire to their active line-up, as the team is bound to start their IEM Katowice run later on today.
Citing personal reasons, Dan ‘Apex’ Madesclaire took a break during the BLAST Premier Spring Groups with Team Vitality fielding its sixth-man Nabil ‘Nivera’ Benrlitom as his replacement.
Without their leader, the French squad had an expected early exit at the event, going all three maps against Evil Geniuses but eventually falling on the overtime of the decider map.
At the time, the coach of Vitality, Rémy ‘XTQZZZ’ Quoniam, had signalled towards a bigger hiatus, assuring that Apex would stay on the sidelines until he was able to come back “refreshed and in full control of his craft”.

Just a week later after announcing his break, Apex will be back into the fray, with Nivera moving back to his role as a substitute.
The French captain will have his first match since this small break up against OG in just a few hours, as their opening match on IEM Katowice 2021.
Vitality will have a tough task ahead, headlining Group B of the tournament, which also features OG, FaZe, Liquid, FURIA, NiP, Natus Vincere and Virtus Pro.
