Gaming just got a lot sleeker with the newly-announced ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15. The dual-display, high-performance gaming laptop is looking to release later this year with some awesome features.
Let’s just get to why the Zephyrus Duo 15 REALLY looks cool. It’s the second display. Although it seems like you’re trading a trackpad for it space-wise, with the Zephyrus Duo 15 being pushed as a purely gaming-focused device, this isn’t a big issue. It just means you’ll have to have your mouse with you at all times. I personally don’t mind using the trackpad when I am playing management sims or grand strategy, but I guess those who really game do mind.
What is the second display capable of? Taken from Asus’ own website, this is how they describe the Zephyrus Duo 15’s second display:
Boost your productivity with the first gaming laptop to feature a built-in ROG ScreenPad Plus display. Tilted 13° for comfortable viewing, the innovative secondary display makes multitasking easy, and features optimized apps that enhance your workflow. Keep chats and stream controls on deck while gaming on the main screen, and enjoy a larger working area for your creative projects with screen space to spare for critical tools.
The full run-down on Asus’ own site shows how the ScreenPad Plus can be used for more than just gaming. It can be used to animate, design, and stream too. The design does look reminiscent of Asus’ Zenbook models, but with the whole device tweaked for gaming performance, the display is a game-changer for sure.

The Zephyrus Duo 15 is both Strong and Beautiful…
The Zephyrus Duo 15 isn’t just a pretty face, though. It also has the muscle to pull some serious punches. It packs either an i7 or an i9 processor, which is more than enough for a whole host of both mainstream and demanding titles. Alongside this, it also can support a GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER GPU. This is then translated into offering a 300hz gaming display or 4k UHD. This laptop can be used for more than just gaming. It is also a fantastic platform for digital creators to work from, with the touchpad undoubtedly a useful feature.
Much like the previous iteration of the Zephyrus, this one comes with an improved liquid metal thermal cooling system. Hinges under the tilted ScreenPad Plus display open up to improve cooling around the more important parts. This, apparently, only heightens performance.
