Bandai Namco showcase coming July 22! Bandai Namco’s Play Anime Live game showcase will contain news and premiers for games on PC, Console, and Mobile.
In a summer without the industry’s biggest convention, it seems like we almost have more gaming news on the way. As developers schedule their own showcase streams and announcements, Bandai Namco have followed suit with an anime game showcase.
Bandai Namco Showcase Scheduled For 16:00 PT On July 22
Bandai Namco’s Play Anime Live showcase will broadcast live on Bandai Namco’s Twitch account. This is alongside a stream on their YouTube channel and their Facebook page. They promise to offer a fresh look at a “lineup of console, PC, and mobile anime titles.”
Okay, I read that as “titties” the first time… But I fully blame Reddit and the internet for that. Either way, this showcase will include trailers and first-looks alongside several Question & Answer sessions with developers. A lot of speculation around the event seems to suggest that the showcase will only showcase a handful of titles. Ports of Bandai Namco titles for the Nintendo Switch are much more what people expect.
Bandai Namco might not be a name you’ve seen about too much in comparison to Activision and EA, but their titles have the longevity to suggest we may see a sequel or two. Pac-Man, Tekken, Soulcaliber, and Ace Combat are just some of the titles that Bandai Namco work with. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw some of these names pop up again.
Bandai Namco’s Play Anime Live showcase joins other developers, such as Square Enix, who are planning announcements throughout the next month and beyond.
