Call of Duty: Vanguard has finally arrived, and as players dive into a variety of game modes, the brand new Der Anfang Zombies map provides a new spin on the Zombies mode. Treyarch has redesigned the Zombies’ experience to make it more objective-based. With players looking for efficient methods to complete the Zombies mode, creating the best Vanguard Zombies loadout is a must.

The Zombies mode first appeared in Call of Duty: World at War, and it has since been a popular game mode ever since. It has appeared in the last six out of seven Call of Duty titles and fans are always looking forward to its release. Without further ado, here’s our selection of covenants, perks, and equipment to create the best Vanguard Zombies loadout.

In terms of Zombies, Vanguard mixes things up quite a bit, so players will need to rethink how they approach this mode. In simple words, players need to be prepared with the right loadout for the kind of objective at hand. The loadout can also be modified based on the player’s playstyle. We have put together the best Vanguard Zombies loadout that fits the majority of playstyles and roles.

Loadout

  • Primary: Pack-A-Punched Combat Shotgun
  • Secondary: Pack-A-Punched MG42
  • Artifact: Aether Shroud
  • Covenants: Death Blow, Mother Lode, Brain Rot
  • Equipment: Monkeys + Frag Grenades

The Combat Shotgun is still the main attraction, as you can see. It’s rather lethal when coupled with Pack-A-Punch, and while reloading can be a problem for those running shotties in Zombies, our pick for covenant takes care of that.

The primary weapon for this loadout is so overpowered that a secondary weapon will not be required most times. But every player must carry a backup. While the base MG42 is a little underpowered, it’s a great Pack-A-Punch weapon with a large magazine. It’s the best option for dealing DPS to tankier zombies.

The Aether Shroud is a wonderful way to get out of tight spots. When it comes to covenants, the most significant is Death Blow, which can return a bullet to your clip if you hit a critical shot. That means the Combat Shotgun will seldom run out of ammo if players keep aiming for the head of the undead.

Monkeys are extremely important to have in your tactical equipment slot, so pick them up whenever they drop as treasure. Frag Grenades are a popular and effective explosive option for the deadly slot. They come in handy to make space if you are getting cornered by the zombies or blast a wave and catch a breather.

Last but not least, Vanguard Zombies offers five perks as well. While all of them can be grabbed for free, there’s a price to upgrade them. Upgrading Fiendish Fortitude and Diabolical Damage first fits the Vanguard Zombies loadout above.
