If there’s one thing to be clued up on for Black Ops Cold War, it’s the Zombies Perks. They can make a difference in life-or-death situations and are vital to any successes against the Undead. Below is everything you need to know jumping into Die Maschine regarding the Zombies Perks.
In Black Ops Cold War, the Zombies mode is bringing back Perks in a fantastic way. Not only are they now stored in cans ( F to the Glass Bottle Industry, huh), they can also be upgraded! This is a series first and promises to make Zombies even more exciting and strategic as it is now.
At launch, there will be six different perks for players to collect in Die Maschine. Jugger-Nog, Quick Revive, Speed Cola, Stamin-Up, and Deadshot Daiquiri all make their comeback alongisde newcomer Elemental Pop.
Here’s a quick brief on what they all do, including the new addition:
- Jugger-Nog: Increase Maximum Health by 50;
- Quick Revive: Reduce the time it takes to regen to Full Health by 50%, reduce the time it takes to revive an ally by 50%;
- Speed Cola: Increase reload speed by 15%;
- Stamin-Up: Increase run and sprint speed;
- Deadshot Daiquiri: ADS moves to enemy critical location and removes scope sway;
- Elemental Pop: Every bullet has a small chance to apply a random base Ammo Mod effect;
Black Ops Cold War Zombies Perks Can Be Permanently Upgraded
In order to upgrade your perks in Black Ops Cold War‘s Zombies, you’ll need to earn Raw Aetherium Crystals. These Crystals can be earnt by reaching milestone rounds within the game, and through successful Exfiltration.
Raw Aetherium Crystals can also be used to upgrade skills related to Field Upgrades, Ammo Mods, and Weapon Classes.
” Over time, you’ll use these crystals to improve the tools in your arsenal, improving their damage and utility to help you reach higher rounds.“
While we don’t know what exactly these upgrades mean for all the Perks, Treyarch have given us a run-down on what it means for the new Elemental Pop.
Elemental Pop – Tier I
Adds a small chance for Equipment Damage to also apply a random base ammo Mod effect;
Elemental Pop – Tier II
Reduces Ammo Mod cooldowns by 20%;
Elemental Pop – Tier III
When a random Ammo Mod is applied, it uses your current Skill Tier instead of the base Skill Tier;
Treyarch have confirmed that new Perks will be coming to Zombies through their post-launch Seasonal content system.
