BOOM Esports String RMR Events With Tribo To Major Victory

BOOM Esports continue their dominance of the South American scene as they win both Regional Major Rankings events for 2020, chaining ESL Road to Rio and Tribo to Major.

The final clash at Tribo to Major would be a best of three between BOOM Esports and Sharks Esports after Isurus locked the third spot of the event earlier on in a flawless series against Lucas ‘DeStiNY’ Bullo’s Red Canids.

Riding the favouritism, BOOM Esports would make a crushing entrance on their map pick of Vertigo, locking 13 rounds only on their attacking side. It would be on the back of a force-buy that they would manage to string the last few rounds with a telling 16-3 score.

Gustavo ‘yel’ Knittel and Ricardo ‘boltz’ Prass would both finish the first map with 100% KAST

Playing on home turf, the YNG Sharks would need to secure Dust2 if they wanted to delay the series to a third map. Looking much more composed than they did on Vertigo, a Mateus ‘suplex’ Miranda effort would put seven rounds on the board but would ultimately lose the half to BOOM.

As sides switched, BOOM would overwhelm the Sharks, with yel scoring a double-kill to push it over the line and close the series on a perfect 2-0, securing another RMR victory.

With Isurus ending the event in third, BOOM Esports will now increase their lead in as the top brass on the Regional Major Rankings, as they stand 1012 points ahead of the Argentines, and finish 2020 with an astonishing count of 4100 RMR Points.

BOOM Esports win their eighth event in the region, shaping their dominance as events transitioned to an online format
