Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is right around the corner, and with the upcoming release on November 13, Treyarch is opening a couple of different Betas to hold players over until launch. The current Beta release schedule is as follows:
- October 8th-9th: PS4 Early Access (Pre-orders)
- October 10th-12th: PS4 Open Beta
- October 15th-16th: Xbox + PC Early Access (Pre-orders), PS4 Open Access
- October 17th-19th: Open All Platforms
PS4 users who pre-order the game will have access to all beta days from October 8th. For PS4 users who haven’t pre-ordered the game, they will have access to all beta days from October 10th onwards, while Xbox & PC players who pre-order will be able to play all beta days from October 15th. And finally, Xbox & PC users who haven’t pre-ordered will have to wait until October 17th to jump into the action.
Earlier today, the official Call of Duty Twitter page posted a trailer for the Beta, including a list of the multiplayer game modes that will be available with the beta. These modes are;
- Team Deathmatch
- VIP Escort
- Kill Confirmed
- Combined Arms
It seems that Treyarch has added in VIP Escort as well as Combined Arms since the alpha but have also removed Hardpoint. Even with the removal of Hardpoint, this is a surprising amount of content available to everyone before launch. In fact, it might be even a little too much content, since most people will more than likely only have 2 days (when the Beta goes full open access) to play around with it.
When Can You Preload?
Pre-load kicks off tomorrow, October 6 for PS4 players who have pre-ordered Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War.
