Crash Bandicoot 4 Leaked, It’s About Time!

Published:

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has been rated for PlayStation4 and Xbox One in Taiwan.

The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee might be in a bit of hot water after yesterday. It seems they’ve announced the unannounced, long-awaited, next Crash Bandicoot title! So Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time not only has an incredibly punny name, it’s also a real thing!

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Is All About Time

“Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aki-Aku, Crash’s Mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.”

Description given with Taiwanese rating

Activison have been hinting towards the announcement of a new game in the series, but this seems to have come ahead of schedule. They sent members of the press puzzles that depict a new Quantum Mask, perhaps Lani-Loli? The design was teased in a PlayStation 4 promotional video last year but hasn’t been seen since.

Toys For Bob Also Developed Spyro Reignited Trilogy For Both Consoles and Nintendo Switch

What is unusual is that there doesn’t seem to be any mention of a Nintendo Switch port for the title. That doesn’t mean it isn’t in the works, as many games that are developed for larger consoles come to Switch at a later date.

Analyst Daniel Ahmad has also suggested that this announcement was scheduled for the Summer Game Fest showcase on June 22. This may only be a few days ahead, but it’s still a shame to see it spoiled!
