So… There’s a Crash Bandicoot mobile game on the way. This was a mere whisper on the lips of the savvy for a while, as it had a soft launch earlier in the year, but now they’re planning on a wider release! Yay 2020!
Following the exciting announcement that we’re getting Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, the first original Crash Bandicoot game in…a number of years, we now know that we’re getting another! I don’t know how much of a fan I am of Crash’s updated look, but here we are.
The new Crash Bandicoot game is coming from everyone’s favourite mobile games developer: King. They did Candy Crush, among others, and they’re bringing their unoriginal gameplay to everyone’s favourite Bandicoot. You could call it a match made in heaven, if you wanted to.
Crash Bandicoot Mobile Game Titled Crash Bandicoot: On The Run!
Crash Bandicoot: On The Run! will emulate the classic mobile game runner gameplay from Temple Run as the basis of gameplay. Crash and Coco will act as the two playable characters, as far as we know. They can be upgraded and customised as you play, too! This will help with the game’s multiplayer modes which lets you battle other Crash Runners.
I know I am talking about this game with a skeptical outlook, but… We all know that I’ll play it and inevitably enjoy it.
Crash Bandicoot: On The Run! is currently available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store, and will soon be joined by the App Store for Apple users. Pre-registration also means you can unlock the Blue Hyena skin for Crash that featured on the Crash Team Racing remaster!
