EXTREMUM returns to Counter-Strike with the signing of five out of the six members that represented 100 Thieves until October 2020.
The Russian organisation confirmed the news this Sunday, after months of speculation on where the majority Aussie squad would land after 100 Thieves’ departure from the Counter-Strike scene.
This new EXTREMUM line-up will reunite on European soil the Oceanic trio of Aaron ‘AZR’ Ward, Jay ‘Liazz’ Tregillgas and Sean ‘Gratisfaction’ Kaiwai with the Norwegian Joakim ‘jkaem’ Myrbostad and their former coach Aleksandar ‘kassad’ Trifunović.
To complete things up, the team will find some new faces in the Indonesian star Hansel ‘BnTeT’ Ferdinand and Nestor ‘LETN1’ Tanić, which will have his debut as an analyst & manager.
BnTeT, known for being a major antagonist to the Oceanic squad during their time at Renegades, will now have the opportunity to link up with his former enemies, completing the roster after Justin ‘jks’ Savage jumped ship to Complexity following the disbanding of 100 Thieves.
This will also be his first experience in Europe, having a long past representing the Chinese organisation TYLOO and a bitter-sweet experience in North America under an ever-changing Gen.G squad that ultimately broke up last year.
Having represented his domestic organisation Apeks for a short span of time, Joakim ‘jkaem’ Myrbostad will join forces with the Aussies yet again. Aleksandar ‘kassad’ Trifunović will also return to his former-core after a brief stint with the new Cloud9 squad that came to an end due to a ‘stylistic clash’ with its In-Game Leader.
Despite the move to Europe, the team plans to maintain their Regional Major Rankings (RMR) points from their time in North America under 100 Thieves, travelling to these events in order to fight for a spot in the upcoming PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
