Jade Rings are one of Curse of the Dead Gods’ two forms of permanent currency. Unlike Crystal Skulls, the other currency that persists between runs, Jade Rings are a little harder to find, and will not randomly drop from enemies. Here’s how to get Jade Rings in Curse of the Dead Gods.
How to use Jade Rings
The reason Jade Rings are more rare than the other currencies in Curse of the Dead Gods is because of their function. Jade Rings are exclusively used to unlock the different weapons in the game, and expand the pool of weapons available to you on future runs.
Unlocking weapons with Jade Rings can be done from the hub room, at the center platform where you can also upgrade blessings, divine favors, and weapon altars.
How to get Jade Rings
In order to obtain Jade Rings to expand the weapon pool, you will need to head into the temple. In order to find Jade Rings, you will need to kill the Champions and/or the Dark Avatar of whichever temple you choose to head into. Champions will drop 5 rings each, while the Dark Avatars will drop 10.
The different weapons that you can unlock will range anywhere from 5 to 100 Jade Rings, so certain weapons will need to be saved up for over multiple runs. The more expensive items are typically the boss items, which have specific unlock requirements. Most weapons lie within the 10-15 range though, meaning they can be unlocked with the Jade Rings earned from just one run.
