What is a lifepath?
So, you just started your journey in Night City and you need to choose 1 of 3 different Lifepaths including Corporate, Nomad, and Street Kid. Well you may be asking yourself what are these Lifepaths? What do they mean? Well, a Lifepath is “the player defined backstory to your characters.” Basically it’s how you choose your character’s background and personal history. Choosing different Lifepaths will unlock different story paths and missions, so if you choose the Corporate Lifepath in Cyberpunk, you’ll have access to Corporate Lifepath specific prologue missions, same with the Nomad and Street Kid Lifepaths.
Nomad Lifepath
“Nomads are part of a clan, a family of sorts, that roam the Badlands deserts around Night City. They value their family above anything, but for one reason or another, V left that family behind.”

The Nomad Prologue Mission
Choosing the Nomad Lifepath in Cyberpunk 2077 unlocks “The Nomad” prologue mission. This is a main quest prologue available only to players who choose the Nomad lifepath in Cyberpunk, so you’ll be locked into this decision until your next play through! Choosing the Nomad lifepath, V will have grown up in the Badlands in a Nomad pack, he then leaves the pack to move and try to make it big in Night City. To do this, he takes on a risky job in which he needs to smuggle a very hot item. Like in my other lifepath guides, I won’t go into too much detail for these missions, because I don’t want to spoil anything for you, so I’ll let you go play the game for yourself.
