Just when we thought 2020 couldn’t get any worse, it has. The highly anticipated open-word action-adventure game Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed again.
Cyberpunk 2077 was originally set to launch April 16th 2020 until it was moved back until September 17th as its developer, CD PROJEKT RED, needed more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing the game.
So Why Is It Delayed?
In a tweet from the official Cyberpunk twitter account, the game will now release November 19th 2020. The developers explain “the game is finished both content and gameplay-wise, it’s all there.”
CD PROJEKT RED explains that with the abundance of content and complex systems that interweave with each other, the developers need to properly go through everything and make sure it is all perfect.
CD PROJEKT RED has promised fans since the beginning that they won’t ship something that is not ready. The developers will use this extra time to guarantee the launch of the game will be smooth. With such a large and complex game, there’s a huge amount of things to go over.
