Danganronpa: Decadence, A Collection of Danganronpa Games, Coming to Nintendo Switch

Updated:

The Danganronpa mainline series is coming to Nintendo Switch. Danganronpa: Decadence is a bundle of four games from the Danganronpa series.

It includes the mainline trilogy of games – Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony — and also features an updated version of the board game of Danganronpa V3’s Ultimate Talent Development Plan.

Though they come in a bundle, they will still be available separately on the Nintendo eShop.

Danganronpa is a visual novel series that involves a group of students locked in a closed-room setting, held captive by a remote controlled bear, Monokuma. In order to escape, the students must betray each other by committing murders without getting caught.

The game is similar to the Ace Attorney games in that they are both visual novels that have a heavy focus on solving murder mysteries, but Danganronpa separates itself by being a “Stylish High Speed Reasoning Action” visual novel, in which that class trial debates feature minigames rather than just selecting the correct answers.

There is also a Collector’s Edition of Danganronpa: Decadence, which includes a 10th Anniversary Post, lenticular paint set, a 10-track remixed soundtrack of the games’ OST, and an Outer Box, a “premium pop-lid metal box” display.

Danganronpa is quite infamous for having a wide cast of lovable characters only for them to be killed off. For those wishing to dive head first into Danganronpa with Decadence, here’s a tip: don’t get attached to any of the characters.
