Deathloop Delayed Due To Remote Working Impact

Sadly. Arkane Lyon’s upcoming shooter Deathloop isn’t coming as soon as we’d like. “Deathloop delayed” is something you’re seeing due to the impact of COVID-19 and remote working.

You may not have heard of Deathloop, but it is arguably one of the most exciting games that’s coming up. Arkane Lyon’s assassin-based title has you stuck in a time loop. In order to get out, you have to take out eight targets across a mysterious island. The only problem is… There’s another assassin after you! The second assassin wants to stop you and perpetuate the time loop.

Graphically, Deathloop is set to be stunning.

What makes Deathloop interesting is the multiplayer aspect of the game. You can choose to play as either assassin. You can toggle this off if you’d prefer an offline experience, however… Let’s be honest… It does sound pretty fun! Sadly, though, it isn’t coming as soon as we’d hope.

Deathloop Delayed Until Q2 2021, At Least

Arkane Lyon has stated that this is being done in an effort to make Deathloop a “signature Arkane Game”.

I don’t think anyone can fault Arkane Lyon for trying to protect everyone working there by migrating to a work-from-home environment. However, as we are coming to know, this means that things take longer.

As we’ve adjusted to work-from-home, we found that delivering this new and exciting experience, at the polish and quality level that defines both an Arkane game and a true next-gen experience, is taking longer than normal.”

Arkane Lyon has also apologized for the wait and expressed that they share the fans’ disappointment.
