A second wave of news was dropped on the upcoming champion after the K/DA teaser, giving more details about Seraphine’s abilities, about her base skin that had still never been revealed, and about how her Ultimate skin will work.
Passive – Stage Presence: Every third basic ability Seraphine casts will echo, automatically casting a second time. Additionally, whenever she casts an ability nearby an ally, she will create a Note. Each Note gives her basic attacks more attack range and deal additional magic damage, consuming the Note.
Q – High Note: Seraphine projects a pure note, dealing magic damage that’s increased by the target’s missing health percentage.
W – Surround Sound: Seraphine surrounds her nearby allies in a song, granting herself and her allies movement speed and a shield. If Seraphine is already shielded, she can heal her nearby allies, restoring health based on how many allies are near her.
E – Beat Drop: Seraphine unleashes a heavy soundwave, dealing magic damage to enemies in a line and slowing them. Enemies that are already slowed are rooted, and already rooted enemies are stunned.
R – Encore: Seraphine takes the stage, projecting a captivating force that charms enemies and deals magic damage. Any champions struck (allies included) become part of the performance, extending the range of the ability and granting allies maximum Notes.
Seraphine’s base skin
This whole time, Seraphine’s Twitter account as well as any piece of content featuring her wasn’t using her default skin, but rather the one that she’ll receive on release. This means that her real appearance had never been shown yet.
Well, truth is, she doesn’t look so different, and certainly underwent less of a transformation to get into her K/DA attire than Evelynn did, being a singer even in her canon form.
Seraphine’s Ultimate skin, K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine, consists in fact of three distinct skins, featuring Seraphine Indie, Rising Star, and Superstar.
Unlike all other Ultimates have been so far, it will not be an evolving skin, due to technical restrictions. Instead, buying the skin unlocks the first of the three versions, and triggers a quest line that lets the player unlock the next two. The player then picks only one of the three upon loading into the game.
Unsurprisingly, this has resulted in a certain degree of outrage, to say the least. While this will not be changed, it remains to see how Riot will decide to price this skin, potentially putting it below 3250 RP as they had done for Gun Goddess Miss Fortune.
More information on her should follow tonight as the champion will make her way to the PBE, including a full description of her spells, stats, as well as interactions.
