Over recent years, EA has been releasing its own games exclusively on their EA Origin platform. Now a selection of their catalog has appeared on Steam, with more to follow. These games include Dragon Age 2, Crysis 3, Unravel, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and Need for Speed Heat. It has also been revealed that EA’s subscription-based service, EA Access, will be making its way to Steam too.
Games that have been released on Steam are Dragon Age Inquisition, Plants vs Zombies Battle For Neighborville, Dragon Age 2, Crysis 3, Need For Speed, Need For Speed Heat, Need For Speed Rivals, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Unravel, Unravel Two, Sea Of Solitude, & Fe.
These games all have generous discounts, too, ranging from 50% to 75% with other games in their catalog which were already on Steam being discounted up to 90%, such as the original Mirror’s Edge. The new Command and Conquer Remastered Collection is coming to Steam tomorrow as well.
Notable games that are currently missing from Steam include Mass Effect 3, the recent Battlefield games and the Star Wars Battlefront games. Some of these may be added with time, though.
There is also no news on when EA Access will be coming to Steam, but it will be coming at some point and should be the same as the current Origin version, which will allows subscribers to download and play any of their catalog as long as the user has an active subscription.
