After the coronavirus pandemic caused E3 2020 to be cancelled, many companies decided to host their own live events, including EA. EA announced they would be hold the EA Play Live 2020 event on June 11th. Now, due to the current global protests due to the George Floyd murder, EA have pushed their EA Play Live event back one week to June 18th.
They announced on social media that the event will now take place on June 18th at 4pm PDT.
EA aren’t the only company to push events back to allow for more important issues to take centre stage during this difficult time. Activision and Epic both announced they were pushing back the launch date of their new seasons for Modern Warfare and Fortnite.
