ESEA has postponed the MDL Global Challenge event planned for April due to the coronavirus outbreak.
ESEA announced that they are planning to reorganize the MDL Global Challenge during Season 34 and before the start of ESL Pro League Season 12, which is held in September.
MDL Global Challenge event is just one of many tournaments postponed or canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Travel restrictions and health concerns are some of the reasons cited by organizers for deciding to change their tournament dates.
Furthermore, ESEA announced that they will be revising their roster restrictions. This mostly supports teams that have recently lost players like Triumph, who recently lost two of their players.
The eight teams that compete in the MDL Global Challenge event are:
- Sprout
- Japaleno
- Bad News Bears
- ORDER
- AGO
- Triumph
- TeamOne
- Lucid Dream
