Exit the Gungeon Now Available On Xbox Marketplace

Updated:

Exit the Gungeon, the next game in the Gungeon Series by Dodge Roll Studios, is now available on Apple Arcade. Exit the Gungeon originally launched on Apple Arcade in September 2019, with a limited release on Switch and Steam six months later. Now, the title from the popular series is available to play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X & S as well.

Exit the Gungeon is considered to be more of a spinoff than an actual sequel, although it takes place immediately after the events of the first game, due to it being a rather small game, compared to the first.

It is the same concept and gameplay with a few new aspects, just shorter on the sense of depth, as well as being considered more “arcade-style” than the original Enter the Gungeon. As you can see below, with a side-by-side comparison of the gameplay, Exit the Gungeon is just as much in the “bullet hell” genre as the original.

Enter the Gungeon is more of a 3D dungeon-crawler, whereas Exit the Gungeon is a platformer due to its more arcade-style. Don’t forget about the signature dodgeroll ability, because its just as necessary in the spinoff as it is in the original Gungeon title for survival. Enter the Gungeon is also available on Xbox Game Pass.

Upon announcement of Exit the Gungeon, Dodge Roll Studios shared a massive post to the Enter the Gungeon subreddit, letting everyone know everything then need to know about the upcoming spinoff, which you can read here.
