Fallout 76: Stash Box Locations and What’s In Them

Published:

In Fallout 76, a Stash Box is a private instanced container that can be used by a player to store any items they want. Unlike other containers, all stash boxes contain the same inventory for each player character.

In Fallout 76, a Stash Box is useful in storing all those valuable spare items you don’t want to carry around with you. Unlike other containers, these are only accessible by individual player characetrs and each one is unique.

Currently, a Stash Box has a weight limit of 800lbs. The limit was previously 400lbs, but was increased to 600lbs in Patch 1.0.2.0 and then to 800lbs in 1.0.0.6. Sadly, perk cards that affect item weight and statistical increases to a player’s carry weight will not affect the Stash Box’s weight limit.

In order to craft a Stash Box, players will need to follow the following recipe at a C.A.M.P. or Workshop.

Wood ( x2), and Steel ( x2)

To recap, these are the following locations where a Stash Box can be found on top of any placed by characters using the C.A.M.P.:

  • The Overseer’s Camp;
  • Red Rocket Stations, including Red Rocket Mega Shop and Red Rocket Filling Station;
  • Every Train Station;
  • The Whitespring Resort, in the crafting room;
  • The Crater and Foundation;

Please note, each Stash Box is unique to each player character. This means that you won’t be able to transfer items via the Stash Box. Even if you’re trying to swap items between characters created by the same player.

In addition, the Stash Box inventory will link to any Workbench in Fallout 76. This means any junk stored there can be accessed without removing it from the Stash Box.

Furthermore, if a player equips Power Armour parts to a Power Armour Chassis they can reduce the weight space taken up by the suit. The Chassis will always weigh 10lbs, regardless of what parts are stored on it.
