After 3 years of development, the fan made Rayman Redemption is set to be released on June 19th. Rayman Redemption is a re-imagining of the original Rayman that was released all the way back in 1995. This game features a lot of new content, including new worlds, levels, minigames and stuff to collect and complete, so its not just a 1:1 remake of the original.
Rayman is owned by Ubisoft, so it is possible the developer will receive a Cease and Desist letter, but as of right now, no action has been taken. There is a free demo available right now to download which you should check out, also in case it does get shut down.
Assuming it doesn’t get shut down, the game should be released next Friday. But for now you check out the trailer below;
