After many years of waiting, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is finally in our grasp, but we will have to wait a little bit longer. The game’s planned release date was March 3rd 2020, less than 2 months away. But today, Square-Enix have announced that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will now be delayed until April 10th 2020.
In a statement released today they said;
“We know that so many of you are looking forward to the release of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on. In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10,2020. We make this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience. I, on behalf of the whole team, want to apologize to everyone, as I know this means waiting for the game just a little bit longer. Thank you for your patience and continued support.”
We now have 1 extra month to go, assuming the game isn’t delayed further. It’s still less than 3 months, but there’s still plenty of games to play in the meantime. During March alone, we have Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, Animal Crossing and DOOM Eternal being released. Then at the start of April, Resident Evil 3 Remake will be released, so the next few months are already stacked.
Hopefully, the extra time will help produce a better overall experience. This is years in the making, so I’m sure 1 more month won’t be a big deal for most of you.
