So far in Chapter 2, we haven’t had any patch notes to let us know what has changed in new updates. Well, that all changed today with the Fortnite 11.20 update. We finally got patch notes, and in this post, I will be breaking everything down across all game modes. If you want to see all of the leaked skins, click here to check them out.
Some things to note in this update: the Bandage Bazooka has finally returned, meaning we can finally complete the challenge from Week 5. The Tactical Shotgun has seen adjustments as well, and DX12 is now enabled on PC giving better performance across the board. Season 1 has also been extended until early February, which is quite frustrating because the grind has already been so easy that it feels like there’s little reason to play. But Epic has promised more rewards and a live event between now and February 2020.

“The PC version of Fortnite currently requires a graphics card capable of running Microsoft DirectX 11. In Fortnite 11.20, however, you’ll have the added option to play the PC version using Microsoft DirectX 12!
By using DX12, PC players with high-end GPUs may experience a higher and steadier frame rate. This is because DX12 delivers better CPU performance and allows for the distribution of rendering jobs across multiple cores.
In the future, we plan on adding features to Fortnite that are made possible by DX12. Allowing players to opt into DX12 before these features are added will give us valuable information in our development efforts and help us shake out any bugs.”
