Today we’ve got an absolutely huge update on Fortnite in the form of the 11.30 patch, and with it comes a lot of leaks. We will be getting a new snow map, lots of new cosmetics, updates on the Star Wars event and so much more. Let’s dive straight into them! NEW MAP
It looks like we will be getting a snow map for the next few weeks as we head into Xmas and the New Year. This happened last year with Season 7 and also in 2017 with Season 2, so this really didn’t come as a surprise. Time to use the White Skull Trooper, I think!
ANNUAL BATTLE PASS
As reported earlier, it appears Fortnite is introducing an Annual Battle Pass where we can pre-purchase the next year’s worth of Battle Passes and unlock exclusive skins. This is a really great idea that will hopefully will keep players committed to the game.
MENU CHANGES
A very small change, but the “Store” is now simply called “V-Bucks”. This is also where bundles such as the “Darkfire Bundle” would be, so whether they will move to the Item Shop instead remains to be seen. Also, News will now cycle through above the Play button.
CHALLENGES
It also looks like we’re going to be getting new challenges within the next hour as well as some more in 4 weeks time. As of right now, there’s no confirmation of what these will be.
NEW WEAPONS
It appears that we may also be getting a new Xmas-themed Assault Rifle that shoots snowballs. There’s no confirmation yet as to whether this will be found in Save The World or Battle Royale.
NEW MUSIC PACKS
There will be various new music packs coming to Fortnite, including some music from the Unreal series. Links to the audio for these can be found below;
LOADING SCREENS
There have also been 3 Xmas-themed loading screens found that will likely be unlocked through Xmas-themed challenges.
LEAKED SKINS & COSMETICS
We’ve got a lot of new skins and cosmetics added into the game today. Some are new styles for existing skins, and there’s also the new Frozen pack as well as many skins added for the Item Shop. Check them out below.
LEAKED CHALLENGES
There have been 3 new sets of challenges added today. 2 are visible on the challenge screen in game with 1 starting right now and another in 28 days. The 3rd is encrypted and may be linked to the Star Wars Event this Saturday.
