Although we haven’t got every detail, the Fortnite Galactus Event is almost upon us! Chapter 2 Season 4 is almost over and now an ominous countdown timer has appeared in-game. Here’s all we know.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 is almost over! With a big event scheduled for the end of this season, things are starting to come together and we finally know what might be happening.
The event has been codenamed “Junior” and will be the first live event since the mysterious “Device Event” from a couple seasons ago. The upcoming event, though, will be centered around Fortnite’s Marvel content.
Earlier, a countdown timer began that has seemingly confirmed previous leaks to be accurate. Below is what it’ll look like in-game:
Here’s what is expected to happen when you load into the Fortnite Galactus Event…
Galactus, a supernatural being that consumes worlds, will finally be arriving to Fortnite‘s Island. As you might already guess, the plan is for him to consume everything.
Fortnite Galactus Event Loading Screen Has Been Leaked
Twitter User @ForkniteStatuss has been leaking things all about the upcoming event.
From this account, we have the following information:
- The Fortnite Season 5 Galactus Event will be in a playlist entitled “The Devourer of Worlds”;
- The sky above the Island will be different for the in-game event, showcasing the endless cosmos which surround Galactus. This was added in 14.60 and will go live as soon as you load into the playlist;
- The Event loading screen states the players objective to “save all reality”;
- The Fortnite Galactus Event will start December 1 at 16:00 ET, causing a period of downtime similar to the “black hole” event. Season 5 will then begin December 3;
Tilted IS BACK BABY
The main rumour, though, amongst all of these little tidbits of event information is that Tilted Towers is coming back.
Reportedly, the Fortnite Galactus Event will usher in a new, re-mixed version of the Chapter 1 map that will feature fan-favourite locations such as Tilted Towers. ForkniteStatuss also suggests that the newer map, from 15.10, will have to be rebuilt due to Galactus’ devouring.
There’s also reports of a new “Acid Rain” which damages players, which could well replace the infamous purple storm that Fortnite is known for.
Over the last couple of weeks, other leaks have confirmed that a Galactus Skin is in the game’s files, Jonesy has an “Agent” aesthetic upgrade, and a new “Lazing Device” could be on the way and reflect an event-specific weapon / item.
