Fortnite Season 5 has been out for almost 3 weeks now and we’ve got our second round of challenges to complete. Below, we’ll go into detail on how to get all the sweet XP you can from Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 challenges and level up that battle pass.
The challenges from this season are a little different then they were previous season, we now have bounties and weekly time-limited challenges. Personally, I’m not too happy that Epic is releasing timed challenges weekly but I haven’t seen many complaints about it so it seems to be doing well.
Table of Contents
Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 Challenges Rarity
This season introduces the rarities to challenges and similar to weapon rarity they are as follows: Rare, Common, Uncommon, Epic and Legendary.
Except for daily challenges; Common, Uncommon and Rare chests are not timed challenges, and they can be completed at any time this season. These challenges are work 10,000 XP
Epic challenges are worth 22,000 XP and are the most similar to your usual Fortnite weekly challenge list.
Finally, Legendary challenges are time limited, lasting only a week, but can be completed with teammates and are worth 55,000 XP.
Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 Epic Challenges
As stated earlier, Epic challenges are worth 22,000 XP but some are also in stages meaning you’ll have to complete one task to unlock the next.
First, you’re going to have to destroy mailboxes. The easiest way i found to do this is to land at whatever location you wish to land and grab a car as you’re leaving that destination.
Once, you have your vehicle, simply head to a town with a larger number of houses such as Pleasant Park or Holly Hedges and just drive through them! You should be able to find 5 mailboxes at either location. If not you can always visit several locations over any amount of games.
Plant Evidence in Catty Corner or Flush Factory
For this part of the challenge you can head to either location to complete it entirely. Catty Corner is located between Retail Row and Dirty Docks near the mountains and can be seen from the player’s map.
Flush Factory on the other hand cannot be seen from the player’s map but can be found easily. More veteran Fortnite players will remember Flush Factory as a smaller point-of-interest from Chapter 1.
As you walk around either location stated above, you will find blue transparent objects on the ground. Interact with these objects in order to further your challenge progress. This must be done 3 times at either location but can be completed partially at both.
Find Clues in Holly Hedges, Lazy Lake and Pleasant Park
Just like the challenge before it, this can be completed at any combination of the locations. Once at any of the locations listed above, you’re going to need to search buildings for mailboxes. These mailboxes will be in unusual conditions in rooms and basements.
Once you find a mailbox, once again, interact with it to find a clue and your progress towards the challenge will be furthered.
You will need to find a total of 3 mailboxes with clues.
Destroy Dog Houses
Dog houses can also be found at the locations names above and at various different locations. For this challenge you will need a total of 3 dog houses from anywhere on the map.
A lot of houses have dog houses somewhere around them and they will be destroyed with a single swing of a pickaxe.
These is a dog house behind one of the twin houses at Lazy Lake.
At Holly Hedges you can find all dog houses to complete the challenge.
These dog houses are located in the side of the front yard of the northernmost house. You can find an additional 2 dog houses on the eastern side of the map next to and between houses.
Find Car Parts
When you look at your challenges from the tabs while in the lobby, you can see 2 locations on the map for this challenge: Dirty Docks and Compact Cars.
Personally, this challenge was the most annoying. I had absolutely no problem finding any of the above mentioned spots on the map when I visited those locations. However, with this challenge I could not find any car parts at Dirty Docks so I went straight to Compact Cars and found 2.
Now, while Compact Cars isn’t a named location on the map, it is very close to Dirty Docks so landing at Dirty Docks is best for this challenge. At Dirty Docks you will find the only car part there at the southeast side, inside of a storage container as shown below.
From there head straight to Compact Cars for the last 2 car parts.
You will find the first car part at this location to the right of the car compacter.
Finally, for this challenge, if you head to the opposite side of this location against the metal fence you will find the final car part.
Deliver a Vehicle from Steamy Stacks to Pleasant Park
For this challenge, you’re going to need to drive a vehicle from Steamy Stacks to Pleasant Park. While cars always spawn at Steamy Stacks, most of the time at least one if going to have a boot on the tire.
This may be the only vehicle you find there and you may also have worry about gas. So in order to prevent any problems you should land at the gas station near Steamy Stacks and look for a vehicle.
Once you have a vehicle, it is best to fill it with gas and head to Steamy Stacks as soon as possible and once you’re there you will see the challenge has started. From there you should be able to make it Pleasant Park no problem now that you have a full tank of gas and hopefully at least one weapon.
Drive Vehicle Through Flaming Rings at Pleasant Park
Now while you don’t need to land at Pleasant Park or have a full tank of gas to complete this challenge, it may be your best bet to land as close to Pleasant Park as you’re comfortable with.
Once you have a vehicle, follow the trail you see to the north of Pleasant Park and you will see the first Flaming Ring.
Then, slightly towards the east from there you’ll see the next ring.
Finally, the last Flaming Ring is located to more northeast than the previous ring, still following the same trail. The final ring is located at the Mowdown Racetrack.
Once you jump through this ring, you will have completed the challenge.
This Legendary Challenge set is quite easy as it only requires damage with Legendary weapons. While doing damage with a weapon may not be a problem, you may not get a Legendary weapon right away.
So first I’d recommend landing at your most comfortable location to acquire a Legendary weapon as fast as possible. It should also be noted that you can complete this, and other Legendary Challenges with teammates so playing with a squad should be completed in no time at all.
For this challenge you’re going to need to deal 5 different tiers of damage.
1,500 damage with Legendary weapons
3,000 damage with Legendary weapons
4,500 damage with Legendary weapons
6,000 damage with Legendary weapons
7,500 damage with Legendary weapons
Once you finish every tier of this you will have completed this weeks timed Legendary challenges and earned yourself 55,000 XP.
