This week we’ve gotten a lot from Fortnite in Season 5 Week 7. Some of the Jungle Hunter Challenges have become available to unlock the secret skin, Predator. Now on Thursday, we got word of a new emotes for Fortnite Crew subscribers and Week 7 Epic and Legendary challenges. We’ll talk about everything new this week below.
Jungle Hunter challenges were partially unlocked yesterday, giving players a glimpse into the world of Predator, this season’s secret skin.
Predator came as a late announcement, compared to other secret skins in previous seasons. Nonetheless, players are excited for new challenges outside of the weekly challenges, especially for such a great, unique reward.
The Jungle Hunter challenges are exclusive to battle pass owners.
Also announced this week is a new emote coming to past, current and future Fortnite Crew subscribers: Members Only.
This emote is sync emote meaning it can be used in conjunction with another user that also has the emote, uniting in a singular dance. Specifically, with this emote though, you perform a sort of secret handshake with the other player, making this a truly unique emote that I am personally excited to use.
Fortnite Season 5 Week 7 Epic Challenges
Week 7 Epic challenges have gone live, including 2 sets of challenges within it.
Both sets are mostly Slurp related, requiring you to visit houses in the home of Slurp: Slurpy Swamp as well as consuming Shield Potions. This is another week with themed challenges so hopefully, this trend stays.
Like always, one stage of a challenge must be completed to unlock the next in a set.
- Stage 1: Visit 3 houses in Slurpy Swamp in a single match – Visit 3 different houses at Slurpy Swamp in one game
- Stage 2: Consume Shield Potions – Consume a single Shield Potion 3 times
- Stage 1: Collect Books from Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands – 5 Books
- Stage 2: Destroy Slurp Barrels – 10 Slurp Barrels
- Stage 3: Search Chests in Slurpy Swamp – 7 Chests
- Stage 4: Gain max Shields in a single match – Fill Shield bar within 1 game
- Stage 5: Eliminations while at zero Shields – 1 Elimination
Visit 3 Houses in Slurpy Swamp
This challenge is quite easy, just a little annoying to me as it wasn’t registering correctly but sometimes that’s just Fortnite.
However all you’ll need to do is visit 3 houses in Slurpy Swamp. Now these houses may not really seem like houses or seem like they’re part of Slurpy Swamp but according to these challenges they’re both.
As you can see from the pictures below, this is the area of all three homes in Slurpy Swamp.
These houses can all be found south of Slurpy Swamp on what looks like an island. Simply walk inside each of these houses in one game and the progress will be marked until the challenge is complete.
Consume Shield Potions
This challenge is pretty self-explanatory: consume shield potions. You will need to do this 3 times across as many games as necessary but should be done in no more than 2.
Specifically, you need to drink either a Mini Shield Potion or a Shield Potion that heals 50 Shield per drink. Meanwhile, a Mini Shield Potion heals 25 at a time, up to 50.
Collect Books From Sweaty Sands or Holly Hedges
For this challenge, you simply need to find Books lying around either of these locations and you’ll complete this stage of the challenge.
This can be completed entirely at Holly Hedges so that is what we will be showing you in this Fortnite Season 5 Week 7 challenges guide.
All of these Books except one can be found in houses, mostly near bookcases, however, some are not. The one Book not inside of a house is inside of the hardware store in the centre of Holly Hedges, shown below.
These Books can be found mostly in corners and against walls.
Book 1 – Hardware Store Bathroom
Book 2 – House highest north
Book 3 – Next to the fireplace in the bottom house on the road to the right of town
Book 4 – Under the windows facing the street in the ground floor of the most northern house in Holly Hedges, with the balcony on the second floor
Book 5 – Next to the desk and filing cabinet in the most southern house in Holly Hedges
Destroy Slurp Barrels
This part of challenge can be completed almost instantly by going to a number of locations, however we are going to be completing this challenge entirely at Slurpy Swamp.
As you can see from the picture below, landing almost anywhere at Slurpy Swamp will treat you to tons of Slurp Barrels.
Fortnite Week 7: Search Chests at Slurpy Swamp
For this stage of the challenge you will need to search a total of 7 Chests at this named location in order to complete this challenge.
While this stage of the challenge is quite easy, the location may be flooded with other players due to all of the challenges surrounding this location this week so it may take a few games to complete.
Gain Max Shields in a Single Match
For this part of the challenge you will need to completely charge your Shield bar.
This can be done any number of ways: Slurp Barrels, Shield Potions, Slurp tankers and so many other Slurp containers all over the map.
Also now that IO Guards drop health like Bandages and Shield Potions, this challenge should be even easier, even if only by a little bit.
You will only need to fill your Shield bar entirely once in order to complete this challenge.
Eliminations While at Zero Shields
This may not work in your favor, but if you encounter someone immediately after landing it might be your best bet.
Otherwise, it’s not very wise to roam around without Shields when you have them on you just to chance getting a kill without them and dying only to not complete the challenge.
Fortnite Season 5 Week 7 Legendary Challenges
This week, the Legendary challenges have to do with damaging opponents but they must be in a vehicle in order to make any progress towards the challenge.
- Stage 1: Damage opponents in vehicles – 500 damage
- Stage 2: Damage opponents in vehicles – 1,000 damage
- Stage 3: Damage opponents in vehicles – 1,500 damage
- Stage 4: Damage opponents in vehicles – 2,000 damage
- Stage 5: Damage opponents in vehicles – 2,500 damage
Hopefully this guide helped you complete these challenges and you’re about done with that battle pass and approaching level 100.
