G2 Release Trio and Look to Revamp VALORANT Roster

Updated:

G2 Esports looks to revamp its VALORANT roster as they have announced today the release of Patryk “PaTiTek” Fabrowski, Ardis “Ardiis” Svarenieks and Aleksander “Zeek” Zygmunt.

The team focused around Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas is undergoing massive changes in its line-up, matching the rumours of a huge European roster shuffle being in the works.

This culminates months of huge volatility inside the roster, with the In-Game Leader role passing through multiple players, including stand-ins.

Incidentally, Jose “koldamenta” Aranguren has also revealed today his departure from Acend, a team most famous for their triumph at the European VCT: Masters 1. The Spanish In-Game Leader is rumoured to link up with his compatriot in this new G2 VALORANT roster.

A report submitted in April by neLendirekt of 1pv.fr had also pointed towards the additions of Auni “AvovA” Chahade and Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas in order to bring them up to five.

G2 Esports dominated in the early days of VALORANT

While an early G2 VALORANT roster featuring David “Davidp” Pins dominated in the first few months of the game’s esports circuit, the squad has been achieving more and more underwhelming results as new competition rose up through the ranks.

Zeek had already been benched heading up to the second Challengers event of VCT Stage 2. With Oscar ozzy Scott taking over In-Game Leader duties as a stand-in. However, his stint in the team came to an end, failing to qualify for the EMEA Playoffs and as such, being unable to reach Masters: Reykjavík.
