G2 Esports has made it official the total overhaul of its VALORANT roster, adding three new players in Žygimantas “Nukkye” Chmieliauskas, Auni “AvovA” Chahade and Jose Luis “koldamenta” Aranguren.
Having announced earlier today the release of Patryk “PaTiTek” Fabrowski, Ardis “Ardiis” Svarenieks and Aleksander “Zeek” Zygmunt, G2 was bound to kick off a huge shuffle for European VALORANT.
These two roster moves confirm the entirety of a report submitted in April by neLendirekt of 1pv.fr, and come as a result of months of volatility inside the roster, with the In-Game Leader role passing through multiple players, including stand-ins.
With Jose “koldamenta” Aranguren revealing earlier today his departure from Acend, a team most famous for their triumph at the European VCT: Masters 1, the rumour that linked the Spanish In-Game Leader and the team headlined by his compatriot Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas became even stronger, being eventually confirmed.
Following a wave of departures from Team Heretics, AvovA and Nukkye find a new home in the Berlin based organisation. These two young talents are bound to add even more to the already enormous amount of firepower in this team.
While the future remains uncertain for PaTiTek and Ardiis, Zeek has already been announced as the new In-Game Leader for Acend. The Polish player has spent the last few months in bench of G2, as he was moved to the bench ahead of Masters 2.
G2 Esports has been looking to ascend once again to the top of European VALORANT ever since the early stages of 2021. This total revamp of its line-up aims to shift the tide and make sure the team qualifies for the final Masters event, set to be played in Berlin.
