MiHoYo announced the Genshin Impact 1.7 stream that will reveal more details about the upcoming content and events.
Unlike the previous streams, this one is called “New Version. Special Program Announcement”. It doesn’t specify which version, even though logically speaking it should be 1.7.
However, leaked information suggests that the stream will feature the 2.0 update as a part of the presentation. What does that mean? No one really knows. But it appears to be the biggest showcase for Genshin so far.
What to expect on the stream?
The core element of the broadcast will obviously be Inazuma: a new region based on real-life Japan which is going to be home to the Electro element. We already saw some teasers for the Inazuma in the last miHoYo’s stream and tons of leaked gameplay is floating across the internet but now it is time for an official reveal.
Inazuma should be arriving with the next update in Genshin as everything including the latest Archon Quest points towards our soonest travels to the land of the Electro Archon.
Kazuha’s banner is the last one on the list of known banners. This means miHoYo will release a list of the banners coming up next. As per tradition, it will be one rerun banner and one completely new banner. The current list of candidates for the new banner consists of Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu.
All of the mentioned characters were revealed in the 1.6 stream while on the upcoming 1.7 stream we may witness more character reveals including the Electro Archon herself.

The special program will be broadcasted exclusively on Twitch. MiHoYo confirmed that 4 hours later, they will upload the recording to the official YouTube channel.
