Genshin Impact: How to Farm Gladiator Set (Best Method)

Updated:
Gladiator's Finale

Farming artifact sets is something you will do a lot in Genshin Impact to make your characters stronger. Gladiator’s Set is one of the most popular sets in the game, however, not a very obvious one when it comes to farming. So let’s break down the most optimal ways to farm Gladiator set in Genshin Impact and potential alternatives.

Gladiator’s Finale Set Bonus

When building an offensive character or a character that scales off ATK, Gladiator’s Finale is a very popular choice because of its set bonuses. Especially if a character doesn’t have a dedicated artifact set like Keqing, Shenhe, or Jean.

Gladiator’s Finale set bonus:

  • 2-piece set bonus: ATK +18%
  • 4-piece set bonus: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.

With more and more new artifact sets coming out, Gladiator’s Finale may still be not the best bet for the character you are building. Make sure to check the best builds and character scaling before spending your precious Resin.

Gladiator’s Finale Farm

Unlike most of the artifacts in Genshin Impact, Gladiator’s Finale can’t be farmed in a domain. Instead, there are a few different sources of obtaining Gladiator artifacts and we will walk you through all of them and find the most suitable for you.

World and Weekly Bosses

Gladiator’s Finale and Wanderer’s Troupe are artifacts that drop from World Bosses and Weekly Bosses. Because there are two sets you will have a lower chance of getting Gladiator’s Finale artifacts but it’s the same with domains. The price for collecting the boss rewards is higher than in domains and you can’t set up the difficulty for World Bosses.

After defeating the boss you will have to spend 40 Resin to get rewards (30/60 for the Weekly bosses) which already makes the Gladiator Set quite expensive. I’d say only farm it this way if you need certain character ascension materials. Other than that it will be a waste of time and Resin.

Here’s the full list of bosses that drop Gladiator’s Finale set pieces:

Weekly Bosses:

  • Stormterror Dvalin
  • Childe
  • Lupus Boreas
  • Azhdaha
  • Signora
  • Raiden Shogun

World Bosses:

  • Geo Hypostasis
  • Electro Hypostasis
  • Cryo Hypostasis
  • Anemo Hypostasis
  • Hydro Hypostasis
  • Cryo Regisvine
  • Pyro Regisvine
  • Primo Geovishap
  • Oceanid
  • Thunder Manifestation
  • Maguu Kenki
  • Golden Wolflord
  • Bathysmal Vishap Herd
  • Ruin Serpent

Artifact Strongbox

A relatively new feature is the Artifact Strongbox. This feature allows you to convert your useless 5-star artifacts to artifacts from the chosen set. The conversion rate is 3:1. For three 5-star artifacts, you will get one from the chosen set. There are currently four Strongbox sets available: Gladiator’s Finale, Wanderer’s Troupe, Bloodstained Chivalry, and Noblesse Oblige.

The feature can be found in the third tab of any Crafting Table. However, be aware that even though you are getting artifacts from the set you need, the stat rolls are still random and may cause emotional damage.

Farm Other 2-Piece Sets Instead

If you are farming Galdiator’s Finale set, it’s highly likely that you are looking for a 2-piece of the set. Many builds recommend pairing a 2-piece Gladiator with another 2-piece. In this case, your best farming tactic would be farming the Momiji-Dyed Court domain in Inazuma or The Lost Valley in Liyue’s Chasm.

The Momiji-Dyed Court domain offers two of the most universal sets in the game: Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and Emblem of Severed Fate. And a 2-piece of Shimenawa’s Reminiscence has the same bonus as the Gladiator’s Finale.

Shimenawa’s Reminiscence set bonus:

  • 2-piece set bonus: ATK +18%
  • 4-piece set bonus: When casting an Elemental Skill, if the character has 15 or more Energy, they lose 15 Energy and Normal/Charged/Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 50%. This effect will not trigger again during that duration.

Artifact sets from The Lost Valley both offer the same 2-piece bonus as the Gladiator set. So it can be a great place to farm if you only need that.

Echoes of an Offering set bonus:

  • 2-piece set bonus: ATK +18%
  • 4-piece set bonus: When Normal Attacks hit opponents, there is a 36% chance that it will trigger Valley Rite, which will increase Normal Attack DMG by 70% of ATK. This effect will be dispelled 0.05s after a Normal Attack deals DMG. If a Normal Attack fails to trigger Valley Rite, the odds of it triggering the next time will increase by 20%. This trigger can occur once every 0.2s.

Vermillion Hereafter set bonus:

  • 2-piece set bonus: ATK +18%
  • 4-piece set bonus: After using an Elemental Burst, this character will gain the Nascent Light effect, increasing their ATK by 8% for 16s. When the character’s HP decreases, their ATK will further increase by 10%. This further increase can occur this way a maximum of 4 times. This effect can be triggered once every 0.8s. Nascent Light will be dispelled when the character leaves the field. If an Elemental Burst is used again during the duration of Nascent Light, the original Nascent Light will be dispelled.

The Best Way to Farm Gladiator’s Finale

Let’s do a quick conclusion. If you need certain ascension materials and boss drops, look out for Gladiator artifacts from boss rewards. If you only need a 2-piece set, farm Shimenawa’s Reminiscence instead as it has the same 2-piece bonus. And finally, you can farm other artifacts and use them in Artifact Strongbox to get Gladiator’s Finale artifacts.

Those are all the methods to farm the Gladiator artifact set in Genshin Impact. Good luck with your adventures and artifacts rolls! Also in Genshin Impact version 2.6, a brand new artifact piece with the same 2-piece bonus will be released. So keep your eyes wide open.
