Keep in mind, the shop refreshes monthly so stocking up on a ton of materials before the shop refreshes is key to making sure you take advantage of all materials.
How to get star glitter in Genshin Impact
The sad truth is there is no effective way for farming star glitter or stardust. You just need to keep pulling with fates or Primogems. If you pull a 5-star character you are awarded masterless star glitter.
Depending on if you already have a maxed out star constellation as well for characters, you are rewarded with a free new pull’s worth of star glitter, meaning you can access the shop and pick up another pull for your characters.
What is Stardust and how to get Stardust
So far there are only two different types of characters (three if you include 3- star weapons) in the game, 5-Star rare characters/weapons that are guaranteed 1-80 and most commonly more times, and 4-star characters/ weapons which is guaranteed once every 10 multi pull you do.
Stardust is awarded for every pull you do, for characters and weapons no matter what the rating is you will receive stardust for pulling. Most multi pulls will allow players to receive 160+ stardust to use at their own accord.
