In Genshin Impact, Windwheel Aster is a foragable flower that is found exclusively in the Mondstadt Region. It is used in forging, as well as character ascensions. Here’s everything you need to know about it!

Windwheel Aster is a fairly common flower, in the right areas. It’s described as a “plant that adores the wind”, something that Mondstadt citizens often see as “visible winds”. It’s almost poetic right? Well, don’t let that stop you picking one up because they’re pretty useful.

Primarily, in Genshin Impact you can only use the Windwheel Aster for a handful of things. Below, we’re going to list everywhere you need to go to find a Whindwheel Aster. Then, what you can use it for! That way, you’ll always be prepared should you stumble across needing one.

Where To Find Windwheel Aster In Genshin Impact?

As mentioned previously, Windwheel Aster is a Monsdstadt Local Specialty in Genshin Impact. This means, it can only be found in the Mondtsadt Region to the North of the current map!

Below, you’ll see a number of known locations of where Windwheel Aster spawns. Most notably, this flower is clustered around Windrise and Stormterror’s Lair.

Windwheel Aster Recipes

Currently, Windwheel Aster is only used in one crafting recipe: Wind Catcher.

The Wind Catcher is a bottle that the player can use to release a single current of wind with each charge. In order to charge it, the player must capture an Anemorgana within. These can be found just south-west of Windrise.

Picking up a charge is pretty simple. All you need to do is walk over an Anemorgana to catch it. The Wind Currents released will last around 9s.
