Genshin Impact is a game with a lot of playable characters, this Keqing Guide should help you decide if she is the right one for your team. Below is everything you need to know about this Spark Knight!
In Genshin Impact, you need a team to take on everything Teyvat throws at you. Through the Prologue Chapter, Archon Quest, players gain access to a starter team. However, with elemental attacks a huge focus in combat, you might be looking to change up your team composition. But, what if you need a hand deciding?
This guide will have everything you need to know about Keqing, one of the unlockable playable characters in Genshin Impact.
In the world of Genshin Impact, Keqing is the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing. Essentially, the Liyue Qixing are a governing body made up of merchants and business leaders in Liyue; Keqing is responsible for Real Estate and Construction amongst these. She prefers actions over words and often takes steps to carry out these actions herself. As a playable character, she wields a sword and utilises the Electro element.
Keqing’s titles include Driving Thunder alongside her professional title as a Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing. She often deals with the day-to-day affairs of Liyue, when she isn’t adventuring with your party I guess! She’s a humanist and works hard to ensure the best future for the human race.
Below, we’ve included the official character description of Keqing:
“ The Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing. Keqing has much to say about Rex Lapis’ unilateral approach to policymaking in Liyue — but in truth, gods admire skeptics such as her quite a lot. She firmly believes that humanity’s future should be determined by humans themselves, and that they can even do better than the archons and adepti have done for them. In order to prove this, she works harder than anyone else.”
Genshin Impact Keqing Character Guide
First things first, this Genshin Impact Keqing Character Guide is going to discuss Keqing’s Talents. These are the attacks and buffs that are unique to Keqing.
Following from this, we’re going to cover Keqing’s Constellation, her base stats, and then finally her Ascension Requirements. This Keqing Character Guide aims to be an easy-to-access information dump for all the basics you’d need if you want to add her to your Genshin Impact team. Therefore, below that I’ll add a couple comments about things like Team Composition and the Strengths and Weaknesses Keqing has.
Yunlai Swordsmanship – Normal/ Charged Attack
Yunlai Swordsmanship Is Keqings Normal/ Charged Attack.
Normally, this attack consists of up to 5 rapid strikes from her sword. Charged, it consumes a certain amount of stamina to quickly strike twice. As a plunging attack, Keqing damages all enemies in her path downwards and deals AoE DMG as she impacts the ground.
Stellar Restoration – Elemental Skill
This is Keqing’s Elemental Skill. With this, she hurls a Lightning Stiletto that “annihilates her enemies like the swift thunder”. It deals Electro DMG to enemies in a small AoE and places a Stiletto Mark on the spot it lands.
Keqing can hold the attack to adjust the direction in which the Stiletto is thrown, including being suspended in mid-air.
Ig Stellar Restoration is used again, or a Charged Attack is used during the duration, it will clear the Stiletto Mark to two effects:
If she uses Stellar Restoration again, she will blink to the location of the Stiletto Mark and unleash a slashing attack that deals AoE Electro DMG;
If she uses a Charged Attack, she will ignite a series of of cuts at the Stiletto Mark location dealing AoE Electro DMG;
Starward Sword – Elemental Burst
This is Keqing’s Elemental Burst attack. She unleashes “the power of lightning”, dealing Electro AoE DMG. She then strikes nearby enemies with thunderclap-blows simultaneously, dealing Electro DMG and then another final attack of Electro AoE DMG.
Thundering Penance – Passive Talent 1
After recasting Stellar Restoration while a Lighting Stiletto is present, Keqing gains Electro Infusion for her weapon for 5s.
Aristocratic Dignity – Passive Talent 2
Keqing’s CRIT Rate and Energy Recharge is increased by 15% when casting Starward Sword. This lasts 8s.
Land’s Overseer – Passive Talent 3
When on a Liyue Expedition, time consumed is reduced by 25%.
Thundering Might – Constellation Level 1
Recasting Stellar Restoration while a Lightning Stiletto is present adds Electro AoE DMG equivalent to 50% of her ATK to the start and end of her Blink.
Keen Attraction – Constellation Level 2
When hitting an enemy affected by Electro with a Normal/ Charged Attack, they have a 50% chance to produce an Elemental Particle every 5s.
Foreseen Reformation – Constellation Level 3
Increases the level of Starward Sword by 3, with a Max Level of 15.

Keqing’s Base Stats
Below, we’ve got all the basic statistics for Keqing. Please note, the base ATK does not include the equipped weapon’s ATk value.
CRIT DMG %
Keqing’s Ascension Requirements
Below, we’ve listed what you’ll need for increasing each Ascension level for Keqing. These are vital in increasing the HP, base ATK, and standard defence of each Character ( as seen above).
Keqing’s high HP make her a fantastic choice for both an Electro DMG-focussed team and a mixed team. She is tankier than a lot of other characters too, meaning she can stay in the fight a lot longer. Despite her Normal/ Charged Attack not dealing Electro DMG, she is by-far the most effective against those with a low Electro RES stat.
Stellar Restoration is also a fantastically adaptable Elemental Skill. It has the potential to deal huge amounts of Electro DMG in AoE attacks while also offering a high degree of maneuverability thanks to the Blink feature.
If you don’t want to use her, be sure to send her out on Expeditions. They are 25% quicker thanks to Land’s Overseer.
