Genshin Impact Ningguang: Guide to Gearing, Playstyle & Team Comp

Updated:

Genshin Impact Ningguang is being rereleased as a sub-character in the new Keqing banner. We meet her in the Liyue Qixing Arch, where we find out that through all her hard work and commitment to the city she has become unrivalled in wealth

She also has one of the few champions that have extreme solo burst damage, the massive amount of damage from her ult on top of the utility of her wall to block damage makes her extremely strong and a great solo carry.

Weapon

Ningguang’s best weapon would be Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds, the added movement speed and crit bolsters her damage, and the added movement speed helps her consistently move around and avoid damage all together.

IF you can’t get your hands on Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds, you can grab a Solar Pearl, which is just increasing the amount of burst damage you do, and stacks with your ult.

Genshin Impact Ningguang Artifacts

The best artifact set for Ningguang is a two piece Archaic Petra, which increases the characters geo bonus damage by 15%, and then a two piece Gladiator’s Finale set, which increases the base base Attack by 18 percent.

There is another build that has you take the Archaic Petra and Noblesse Oblige which increase your elemental burst damage by 20 percent, though compared to the raw attack power.

Genshin Impact Ningguang Playstyle

Playing at a distance is key to Ningguang, though if you ever do find yourself in a pickle her wall can save you, and gain a damage mitigation shield. She feels slow to play, and isn’t the best at clearing large packs of mobs, though shines brightly when against a solo target like a boss or tank mob.

Weaving in auto’s and charged attacks will charge her ultimate faster and allow her to ult off cool down.

Possible Ningguang Comp

Giving Ningguang a Bennett to bolster her damage as well as a Qiqi would massively increase her survivability to keep her pumping out boss damage.

Running two Ameno isn’t also a bad idea, to help with managing stamina so you can kite around better. Jean and Surcrose are a good pair to keep enemies cc’d and consistently healed up. They also counter out her lack of AOE damage that Ningguang lacks.
