Genshin Impact Set to Face Competition with Release Date of Version 1.1

Genshin Impact is set to face competition with other new releases in November. Developer miHoYo has announced that Version 1.1 of the game will be coming to all available platforms on November 11…the day after the previously delayed Destiny 2 expansion Beyond Light and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla are to be released.

miHoYo revealed, in a set of blog posts, that the first major content update coming to Genshin Impact will be released on November 11, 2020. While this is great news to some, it has also been met with some negativity from fans of Destiny 2 as the long-awaited 2020 expansion Beyond Light is set to release the day before on November 10. This means that players that are looking forward to both are either going to have to choose which game they want to play more or will be forced to split the grind between both games. This is not ideal for players as both games are fairly time consuming and it is beneficial to focus on one at a time in order to complete quests, achievements, as well as collect high tier loot.

As you can see, Genshin Impact is set to face Competition while going up against Destiny, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, some of the most anticipated releases of the year. Hopefully the “Unreturned Star Off” in-game event as well as some changes to equipment (such as the ability to lock items) as well as giving players the ability to consume food and medicine without the need to open the inventory and various bug fixes (you can read the English translation of the post here) will be enough to keep players engaged enough to forget about other releases.
