Genshin Impact Zhongli is a character to make most players turn heads at hearing his voice lines. A relatively lax character to leave players giggling at interactions with him. We meet him during our escape with Childe when running from the guards during the Rex Lapuis incident.

We later find out that Zhongli will play a major role in what happens to Rexs Lapuis. We get hints through out the story that by the time you are halfway done the story line it leaves you predicting the out come. Another great support and dps character that leaves domain runs causality free.
Weapon
His best in slot weapon is the Skyward Spine which increases the users crit rate and attack speed, though that’s not the main aspect of this weapon, the crucial part is, that it generates a chance to do a % of damage done in a small AOE, that can occur after a 2 second cool down.
Though this weapon is only obtainable through a gacha and is extremely hard to obtain, the next best options are either a craft able Crescent Pike, or the battle pass Death Match, both good options if you cant get your hands on the Skyward Spine.
Genshin Impact Zhongli Artifacts
The best set for a support Zhongli build is a 4x Archaic Petra, which will increase your geo burst damage, but also generate particles for a shield that other party members can pick up and gain a massive damage burst, but also gain a damage resist to take less damage.

Though if you want to take a more damage approach, grabbing a nice 4x Gladiator’s Finale set will bolsterer your damage and leave enemies in the ground in a matter of seconds. Grabbing a subset of crit multipliers on your Artifacts will also allow massive damage.
Genshin Impact Zhongli Playstyle
Support Zhongli has a very different feel than from carry Zhongli, if you are playing a support build, you are going to want to focus on using your abilities off of cool down, the AOE petrify from your ult and the massive damage mitigation you can get from your pillars will leave team members feeling extremely safe.
Though with carry Zhongli, your main damage comes from consistently autoing and utilizing the damage buff from the Gladiator’s Finale set, your cool downs don’t necessarily help your damage, but it can keep you save so you don’t need to worry about constantly repositioning yourself.
Possible Team Comp
A good team for Zhongli would include characters that can consistently pump out damage, and are glass cannons. He can keep characters extremely safe do to his petrify on his ult and damage mitigation shield, so characters that can consistently fight like Biduo or Diluc are really good paired with him.
Normally trying to pair great sword users with other members can be annoying to do, due to the fact that they can push around the enemies and knock them out of place, but Zhongli has enough AOE to cover massive amounts of space, it can allow for these characters to shine and bulldoze over the enemies.
