I don’t think there is a gamer out there that didn’t enjoy the first God of War on the PS4. If you know of someone who didn’t, let me know and we’ll have words. Recent information shows that the sequel, God of War Ragnarok will be cross-gen between PS4 and PS5. Here’s all we know…
David Jaffe, former director of God of War, has confirmed that God of War Ragnarok will be cross-gen on the PS4 and PS5. T be fair, he hasn’t been a part of God of War development since God of War 2 on the PS2. He said live on his Twitch channel via Gamesradar “I’m sure the next God of War will be on PS4, PS5. Of course, it will be.” Someone so important to the series very well might still have contacts in the dev scene of God of War Ragnarok, but he could also be speculating. We will have to wait to find out.

I wasn’t lucky enough to be able to nab a PS5 yet, so if David Jaffe is correct, I’d be a very happy gamer. I REALLY want to hear Kratos yell at his son about… *waves at everything in general*. As a marketing decision, this is a good idea. Like me, not everyone could afford a PS5, or even had the chance to not afford one (Thanks, scalpers, burn in hell), so releasing the game on PS4 will let said gamers enjoy Thor failing to get his revenge on Kratos without having to buy a new console.
Are you eager to play God of War Ragnarok? If you haven’t played the first God of War on PS4, you really, really should.
