GTA Online standalone release to come alongside GTA V re-release in 2021. This will be available on PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X.
In and amongst the crazy amount of news yesterday, Rockstar Games announced that a GTA Online standalone release is coming alongside a re-release of GTA V on the next generation of consoles.
Due to its release in the second half of 2021, the standalone version of GTA Online will have exclusive content and updates that you can only get on the newer consoles. Unfortunately, Rockstar hasn’t shared many other details about what these may be.
This isn’t surprising, though, as similar things happened last time GTA Online defied the test of time and moved to the next generation of consoles.
GTA Online standalone release will be free to PS5 players for the first three months!
Additionally, Rockstar Games is giving every PS Plus Member an additional $1million on GTA Online every month until the game releases on PlayStation 5. That could-well be over $12million! You can customise a lot of cars with that, that’s for sure.
GTA V is also being released on the next-generation of consoles. This announcement came at the start of PlayStation’s Future of Gaming event. It will come with a range of technical, visual, and performance enhancements that aim to use the full potential of the newer machine. You can read more about this in our article here.
