After being rumored to be the next free game on Epic Games Store, the Rockstar mega hit GTA 5 is now free to keep forever.
Users can download GTA 5 for free between now and May 21st, although the service is currently down due to a huge spike in traffic to the platform. But the good news is that you have a week, so no rush.
GTA 5 has sold over 120 million copies worldwide and is currently the 3rd highest scoring game of all time on Metacritic.

If you want to grab yourself a free copy (and there’s no reason not to) just download the Epic Games Store launcher, make an account, claim it and it will be yours forever. Epic also give away free games every week, so if for nothing else, you should own an account.
