Next week, on May 12th, Halo 2 will be coming to Steam and Xbox Game Pass for PC as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. A few weeks ago, a public test was held, and I’m guessing it went fine, as the game is now being added to the PC collection.
The plan is for all games from the Halo: The Master Chief Collection to be brought to PC throughout 2020, with Halo Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved having already been brought over.
Halo 2: Anniversary is a remaster of the 2004 hit that was released on the original Xbox and was originally released as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One in 2014.
You can buy any of the Halo 2, or any other game from the MCC, standalone on Steam for $10/£7 each or the full collection of 5 games for $40/£30. Alternatively, you can play them on Xbox Game Pass PC for $9.99 a month, along with over 100 other games.
