A designer for 343 Industries has joined Gunfire Games amidst the continued development of Halo Infinite. Here’s all we know…
Halo Inifinite developer Kolbe Payne has left 343 Industries and has joined Gunfire Games. Payne worked for Halo studio
343 Industries for about 2 years as a level designer before making the move this year to Gunfire Games.
This change may imply that a new Darksiders entry is in the works but no official word has been given on what
Gunfire Games may currently be working on. Gunfire Games is known for continuing the Darksiders series after Vigil Games was disbanded January 23, 2013, excluding the newest entry Darksiders: Genesis.
The Darksiders games are a hack and slash action-adventure series, where you play as one of the four horsemen in each entry and explore open-world regions.
Gunfire Games has released Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition and Darksiders III.
More recently, the studio released 2 games in their Ashes series: Remnant: From the Ashes and Chronos: Before the Ashes.
The final DLC for Darksiders III was released in July 2020, making no more known future content for the Darksiders series so let’s hope to see more of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse soon.

343 industries’ Halo Infinite was originally intended to be released with the launch of the Series X|S but in August 2020 it was pushed back to Fall 2021 due to COVID19.
It was also announced last year that Halo Infinite will have micro transactions but character modifications can be obtained elsewhere as well.
There is currently no specific date for Halo Infinite but it will release for Xbox One and Windows as well as Series X|S, free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
